Lane Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 egg yolks
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. coconut (fresh)
    1/2 c. bourbon
    1/2 c. maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Combine egg yolks, sugar and butter in a heavy saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened (about 20 minutes).
    Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients. Cool completely.
    Yield: 3 1/2 cups.
