Irish Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 lb. lamb
    1 lb. beef
    2 c. water
    3 carrots, sliced
    2 or 3 potatoes, diced
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, diced
    3 Tbsp. parsley, chopped or 1 Tbsp. dried
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. each: dried marjoram, thyme and celery seed
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Place flour and salt in a plastic bag.
    Shake.
    Cut meat in 2-inch pieces.
    Add to mixture in the bag and shake well.
    Brown flour coated meat in bacon drippings and oil in a large pot.
    Add more oil if necessary.
    Add the water, vegetables and seasonings to the browned meat.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer about an hour.
