Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. shortening (corn oil or peanut oil)
    1 c. syrup
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger and cinnamon
Preparation
    Make a stiff dough.
    Dissolve soda in water.
    Roll out and cut in squares.
    Bake in moderate oven. (Use all-purpose flour.)
