Savory Cheese Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf unsliced French bread
    1/4 lb. butter
    1/2 Bermuda or 4 spring onions, chopped fine
    2 tsp. poppy seed
    3 Tbsp. prepared mustard
    1/3 lb. white or yellow American cheese
    4 or more slices bacon
Preparation
    Cut bread diagonally, almost through the loaf, about 1/2-inch slices.
    Mix butter, chopped onions, poppy seeds and prepared mustard.
    Spread all but 2 tablespoons of mixture between bread slices.
    Place cheese between each slice.
    Spread outside of loaf with remaining butter mixture.
    Press loaf together; arrange bacon slices on top of loaf.
    Place in shallow pan or cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
