Chinese Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. broken California nuts (walnuts)
    3 eggs, well beaten
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Stir in dates, walnuts and eggs. Pour into greased
    and
    floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
    Bake\tin a 350\u00b0 oven about 15 minutes.
    While warm, cut in bars.
    Cool.
    Remove from pan.
    Roll in sifted confectioners sugar.
    Makes 3 dozen.
