Joe Klein'S Favorite Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. peeled and sliced apples
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple in juice
1 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
1 egg
1 c. salted peanuts
Preparation

Drain pineapple and reserve juice.
Mix flour, sugar, pineapple juice, egg and vinegar in a small pan.
Stir over medium heat until thick.
Refrigerate mixture until cool.
Fold Cool Whip, fruit and half the nuts into cooled mixture.
Sprinkle the other half of nuts over top.
