Favorite Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 chocolate cake mix
1 can cherry pie filling
1 small tub frozen whipped topping

Preparation

Prepare cake as directed. Bake in two 8-inch rounds. Thaw whipped topping. After cake cools, place 1 layer on cake plate; top with 1/2 cherry pie filling. Put second layer on top. Place remaining cherries in center of top layer. Frost with whipped topping on outside edges of top and on sides.
