Stirred Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 slightly beaten eggs
    2 c. milk, scalded
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine
    eggs,
    sugar
    and salt;
    gradually stir in hot milk. Cook
    in double boiler over hot, but not boiling, water until mixture
    coats spoon, stirring constantly.
    Add vanilla and cool rapidly.
    Makes 6 servings.
