Microwave Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 green peppers, tops removed and seeded
    1 lb. ground beef or turkey meat
    1/4 c. finely chopped onion
    1 c. quick rice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    5 slices sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Arrange peppers in micro-proof baking dish.
    Combine remaining ingredients, except tomato sauce and cheese.
    Blend thoroughly. Put meat mixture in peppers.
    Top with tomato sauce.
    Cover with plastic wrap and cook in microwave on High for 20 minutes or until beef is no longer red and peppers are tender.
    Remove plastic wrap and top each pepper with cheese.
    Cheese will melt.
    Serve hot.
