Black-Eyed Peas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. black-eyed peas (beans)
1 ham hock or 1/2 lb. salt pork or country ham
water
salt and pepper to taste
minced onions for garnish
Preparation

Sort beans to remove any \"bad\" ones.
Place in a large saucepan, cover with water.
Place a loose cover over pan and soak overnight.
