Liver And Sour Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    liver, cut into 1-inch pieces
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3 medium onions
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 c. cold water
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Fry liver in shortening, slowly turning only once.
    When done, remove liver and use grease for gravy.
    Brown flour in grease. Add onions (chopped) and stir together until onions are half done. Add vinegar, water, brown sugar and salt and pepper.
    Cook slowly until gravy is the thickness you like.
    Add more water if necessary.
    Put liver back in gravy and heat thoroughly.
    Serve with noodles or boiled potatoes.
