Strawberry Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. angel food cake, cubed
    1 c. cold milk
    3 1/4 oz. pkg. vanilla pudding mix
    1 pt. vanilla ice cream, softened
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
    3 oz. pkg. strawberry gelatin
Preparation
    Place cake cubes in a 13 x 9-inch casserole dish.
    Mix milk and package of vanilla pudding mix.
    Cook according to directions. Cool; stir in softened vanilla ice cream and beat until well blended.
    Pour mixture over cake cubes and chill until firm. Combine boiling water with strawberry gelatin in another bowl. Stir until dissolved.
    Add frozen strawberries; blend well and chill until slightly thickened.
    Pour over pudding mixture.
    Do not stir.
    Chill until firm or overnight.
    Serve plain or with whipped cream, topped with strawberries.
