Cornmeal Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. shortening
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c. milk
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. self-rising cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar. Add well beaten eggs, then flour, and salt sifted together and mix with cornmeal. Add milk gradually. Stir well. Bake in well greased muffin pans in hot oven (450 degrees) about 25 minutes.
