Bernice'S Scratch Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. butter flavoring (optional)
Preparation

Cream shortening and butter together.
Add sugar gradually. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift flour with salt and baking powder; add to mixture in thirds alternating with milk.
Add flavorings.
Pour into cake pan and bake at 325\u00b0 until done.
