Hot Bacon Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. water
    1/2 c. sugar
    10 to 12 strips bacon
    1 medium chopped onion
    1 pt. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Boil vinegar, water and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
    Set aside and let cool.
    Fry bacon and crumble.
    Pour off most of bacon grease, saving enough to brown onion.
    Let cool.
    Mix onion, bacon and mayonnaise with vinegar liquid.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Heat on low to warm before serving.
    Great on fresh spinach salad!
