Firecracker Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
1/2 c. cocoa
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease an 8-inch square pan.
In bowl, stir together butter, sugar and vanilla.
Add eggs; with spoon, beat well.
Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to egg mixture, beating until well blended.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.
Cool completely in pan or wire rack.
Cut into bars.
Makes about 16 brownies.
