Cherries In The Snow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time (important).
    Beat with mixer until fluffy. Add flour gradually until blended.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into well-greased 9 1/2 x 13-inch pan. Section squares with knife. Spoon cherry filling into center of each square.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when completely cool.
