Country Cornbread(For Turkey Dressing) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. Smith's corn meal
    3/4 c. flour
    2 beaten eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    6 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Add eggs and milk.
    Put shortening in a 10-inch iron skillet and place in oven. When shortening is very hot, coat sides of skillet.
    Stir remaining shortening into mixture.
    Place in skillet.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
