Quick Corn Light Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 c. plain meal
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. shortening, melted
Preparation
    Put the buttermilk in a bowl.
    Sift in the plain meal, sugar, flour, salt and soda.
    Add melted shortening.
    Pour in hot greased loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
