Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    3 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. shortening
    1 tsp. soda
    1/3 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and shortening (softened).
    Add beaten eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Dissolve soda in buttermilk.
    Add buttermilk and flour alternately.
    Beat well. Add vanilla.
    Roll out and cut with a cookie cutter.
    Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 10 minutes.
