Mildred Evans' Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs (medium or large)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. whole milk
Preparation

Cream butter until fluffy.
Add sugar and mix well.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
Add flavoring.
Combine sifted cake flour and salt in another bowl and gradually add small amounts to the butter mixture.
Alternate with the milk until all is mixed.
Pour into a greased and floured 4 x 16-inch loaf pan. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Cool 5 to 6 minutes and remove from the pan to cooling rack.
