Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2-inch cube salt pork
    1 small onion, sliced
    4 potatoes, cubed
    2 c. water
    2 c. cream-style corn
    4 c. milk (you can use half and half)
    3 Tbsp. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Use deep pan; usually make day before.
    Cook 3 tablespoons butter and salt pork slowly until fat is melted (pork bits crisp and brown).
    Add onion.
    Cook slowly 5 minutes, stirring often. Add potatoes and water.
    Cook until tender.
    Add corn and milk. Heat 3 tablespoons butter, salt and pepper and add.
    You can use additional can of corn (whole kernel), drained.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
