Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large green tomatoes
    1 c. corn meal
    1 Tbsp. flour
    salt
    pepper
    shortening
Preparation
    Clean and slice tomatoes.
    Mix meal, flour, salt and pepper. Coat tomato slices with dry mixture.
    Heat shortening in skillet over medium heat.
    Place breaded slices in skillet.
    Cook until brown and turn.
    Cook until tender.
    Serve hot.
