Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 c. lard
2 c. Brer Rabbit baking molasses (green label, 1 pt.)
2 Tbsp. soda
1 Tbsp. cream of tartar
4 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. ginger
4 eggs
8 c. sifted flour
Preparation
-
Let stand until cold; roll in balls and then in sugar and bake.
They should crack on top when baked (or you can roll them out and cut out with a cutter).
