Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    dash of salt
    3/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. peaches, sliced
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Gradually stir in milk to form a batter.
    Melt butter in a 9 x 9-inch pan. Toss peaches with 1/2 cup sugar.
    Pour batter into butter without stirring.
    Arrange peaches in batter.
    bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
