Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn syrup
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. raw peanuts or dry roasted peanuts (I like these the best)
    1 stick margarine
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cook corn syrup, sugar, water and raw peanuts to 230\u00b0.
    Add margarine and vanilla and cook to 290\u00b0.
    Take off heat and add baking soda.
    This makes it real airy.
    But make sure baking soda is fresh or it will not be any good.
    Then pour onto a well buttered long cookie sheet and let cool a little to where you can work with it with your hands (buttered) and stretch as to desired thickness.
