Favorite Fish Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    4 c. water
    6 c. peeled and diced potatoes
    2 lb. fresh or frozen cod fillets, cut in large chunks
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 c. milk
    2 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. pepper
    2 (12 oz.) cans evaporated milk
    chopped fresh parsley
Preparation
    In Dutch oven or soup kettle, saute onion in the butter.
    Add water and bring to a boil.
    Add potatoes; cook 10 minutes.
    Add fish and lemon juice.
    Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Add milk, evaporated milk, salt and pepper.
    Garnish with parsley and serve piping hot.
