Plum Pandowdy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. confectioners sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/2 c. butter
3 Tbsp. milk
1 1/3 lb. fresh plums, pitted and quartered (about 9 prune plums)
3 Tbsp. flour
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/3 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 to 2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Sift together 1 1/2 cups flour, confectioners sugar and salt; add lemon rind.
With pastry blender, cut in 1/2 cup butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Lightly mix in milk with fork. Set aside.
