Apple Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 apples, peeled, cored and sliced (3 to 4 c.)
    5 Tbsp. plus 2 c. sugar
    5 tsp. cinnamon
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. oil
    4 eggs
    1/4 c. orange juice
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Combine apples, cinnamon and 5 tablespoons sugar.
    Set aside.
    Sift flour, rest of sugar (2 cups) and baking powder in a large bowl.
    Make a well in the center and pour in oil, eggs, orange juice and vanilla.
    Beat until well blended.
    In a greased 9 x 13-inch pan pour 1/2 of the batter, top with apples, then rest of the batter.
    Bake 1 1/4 hours.
    (Top with foil if it gets too brown.)
    Can use peaches in place of the apples.
