Cheese 'N Sausage Strata - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage
    3/4 c. sliced mushrooms
    1/4 c. sliced green onions
    1/2 lb. Velveeta, cubed
    4 c. bread cubes
    1 c. milk
    4 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Brown sausage; drain.
    Add vegetables, continue cooking 5 minutes; drain.
    Set aside to cool 10 minutes.
    Stir together sausage mixture, Velveeta cheese and bread cubes; place in greased 8-inch square baking dish.
    Beat milk and eggs.
    Pour over sausage mixture.
    Cover; refrigerate several hours.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Remove cover.
    Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until golden brown.
    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
    Garnish as desired.
    Yields 6 servings.
