Pecan Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour, all purpose
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg, vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add to mixture.
Add pecans. Bake 350, about 10 minutes, less if you want them chewy.
