Orange Pineapple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange jello
    1 (4 1/2 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 (6 oz.) can mandarin orange pieces, chopped and drained
    1 lb. cottage cheese
Preparation
    Mix Cool Whip and cottage cheese.
    Sprinkle with dry jello and fold thoroughly.
    Let stand while pineapple and oranges drain, then fold them in and refrigerate.
    Add chopped nuts, if desired.
