Fantastic Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. butter or margarine
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
    1 (7 oz.) jar Marshmallow Creme
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. plain M&M's candies
    3/4 c. chopped red candied cherries
Preparation
    Combine sugar, margarine, milk and salt in heavy 3-quart saucepan; bring to full rolling boil.
    Stir constantly.
    Boil 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in peanut butter until melted. Add Marshmallow Creme and vanilla.
    Beat.
    Fold in candies and cherries.
    Spread immediately in 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
    Cool. Cut in squares.
    Yields 3 pounds.
