Ingredients

1 1/2 c. pumpkin
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. each: sugar and milk
3 Tbsp. preserved ginger
1/2 c. cognac
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. heavy cream, whipped
Preparation

Mix pumpkin, sugar, milk, ginger (chopped fine) and seasonings thoroughly.
Blend in cognac and vanilla.
Fold in whipped cream. Turn into a 2-quart mold and freeze overnight.
Garnish with whipped cream if desired.
