Irish Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. solid Crisco
    3 lb. ground chuck
    1 1/4 lb. diced Irish potatoes (not Russet)
    1 1/4 lb. chopped yellow onions
    1 level Tbsp. salt
    black pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    garlic powder to taste
Preparation
    In a No. 8 deep cast-iron skillet, place the solid Crisco. Melt over medium flame.
    Add ground chuck and cook until done, stirring frequently (about 20 minutes).
    Add diced potatoes and onions.
    Cover contents with hot water, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder.
    Cover skillet and cook over medium flame for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until potatoes are done.
