Chicken Cheese Noodle Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 chicken breasts or whole chicken
    1 can mushrooms
    1 pt. half and half
    salt to taste
    1 large pkg. egg noodles
    1 onion
    2 Tbsp. butter
    24 slices American cheese
Preparation
    Cover chicken with water in large pot and cook until done. Remove and debone.
    Cook egg noodles in chicken broth.
    Saute onion and mushrooms in butter.
    Add this to noodles, then add half and half.
    Add slices of cheese and stir until melted.
    Add chicken, stir soup until hot.
    Add salt to taste.
    More water can be added to make soup thinner.
    Serves 12.
