"Homemade Stew" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    large pkg. chuck, cut up in large squares
    potatoes, quarter as many as needed (6)
    carrots, 2-inch pieces, as many as needed (8)
    1 large onion, cut up
    1 can peas
    1/2 can water
    1 can tomato soup
    2 bay leaves
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Put all ingredients in a cast-iron Dutch oven.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for 4 1/2 to 6 hours.
    Serves four.
