Squaw Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. warm water or milk
Preparation
    Mix together in large bowl all dry ingredients.
    Add liquid and stir.
    Dough will be very stiff.
    Leave in mixing bowl.
    Cover and let rise for an hour or until doubled in size.
    Heat cooking oil to 370\u00b0.
    Pinch off walnut size pieces, flattening and pulling hands until each piece is 1/4-inch thick.
    Fry until golden brown.
