Kid'S Kobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 cans (1 lb. each) sweetened fruit, drained (sliced peaches, apricots, berries or cherries)
    ground cinnamon (if desired)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Put butter in 2-quart deep casserole or baking dish and melt in oven.
    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, milk and vanilla.
    Blend lightly; batter will be slightly lumpy. Pour into center of melted butter.
    Top with fruit and whatever juices remain in can after draining.
    Do not stir.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serves 6 to 8. Serve cobbler warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
