Ingredients

2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. hot scalded milk
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Soften yeast in water.
Combine in bowl sugar, butter, milk and salt.
Cool to lukewarm.
Blend in eggs and yeast.
Gradually blend in flour to make a stiff dough.
Knead until smooth and satiny.
Place in greased bowl.
Let rise until light.
Divide into 3 or 4 parts.
Roll out, spread with Nut Filling (or poppy seed filling).
Roll like jelly roll.
Put on baking pans.
Let rise again.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until done (about 35 minutes).
