Old Talbott Tavern Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. canned whole corn, drained
    milk
    deep oil (for frying)
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    In bowl, mix all ingredients, using just enough milk to moisten.
    Batter should be stiff.
    Drop by tablespoon into deep oil at 325\u00b0 and fry to golden brown.
    Roll in powdered sugar and serve warm.
