Cajun Shrimp And Pasta - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. shrimp
    1/2 lb. butter, melted
    3/4 c. onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    3 fresh tomatoes, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 Tbsp. parsley
    1/4 c. sherry
    1 1/4 to 2 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
    1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 1/2 c. spaghetti sauce
    1/3 c. ham (1/4 lb.)
    1/4 lb. mushrooms
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Saute (except shrimp) ingredients up to parsley until onions are tender.
    Add 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 1/4 to 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper, almost 1/4 cup sherry, 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder, 1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce, 1/3 cup ham, and 1/4 pound mushrooms.
    Saute 1 hour. (You can freeze sauce now.)
    Add shrimp saute.
    Serve over 1/3 (16 ounce) box fettuccini or rice.
