Kathryn'S Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. applesauce
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice

Preparation

Cream butter; add sugar and applesauce.
Mix and sift dry ingredients.
Add to first mixture.
Mix and bake in loaf pan in 350\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes.
One-half cup of nuts and 1/2 cup raisins may be chopped, floured and added.
