Beets Polynesian - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh beets or 1 (16 oz.) can, drained
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    pinch of salt
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 can (8 1/4 oz.) crushed pineapple
    1/4 c. raisins
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    In saucepan combine brown sugar, flour and salt.
    Stir in vinegar and 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons water.
    Add undrained pineapple, raisins and butter.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly.
    Stir in cooked fresh or drained canned beets; heat through.
    Makes 5 servings.
