Homemade Yeast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium potatoes, sliced and peeled
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 small cake yeast (1/4 oz. pkg.)
    3 pt. boiling water
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
Preparation
    Cook potatoes until soft in boiling water.
    Mash in liquid. There should be one quart.
    Add sugar and salt.
    Cool to lukewarm. Blend yeast and lukewarm water.
    Add to potato mixture.
    Put in glass jar.
    Keep at room temperature for 24 hours.
    Then cover with lid, refrigerate.
