Crock-Pot Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    peeled and thinly sliced apples
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. cider
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Fill 3 1/2-quart crock-pot 7/8 full with apples.
    Cook until mushy, approximately 1 hour on high.
    Add remaining ingredients and boil on high for 8 or more hours, until desired thickness. Pour into jelly jars and refrigerate or freeze.
