Yam, Apple, Nut Stuffing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. yams or sweet potatoes
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 lb. apples
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 to 1 c. walnuts, chopped
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    grated peel of 1 orange or lemon
Preparation
    Bake potatoes until soft (in 450\u00b0 oven), about 1 hour.
    Peel and mash.
    Add butter and mix well.
    Peel, core and thinly slice apples.
    In a saucepan, place apples, sugar and water and cook, covered, until tender.
