Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    several firm green tomatoes
    flour
    cornmeal
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    Make a mixture of flour, cornmeal, salt and pepper.
    Slice tomatoes in 1/4-inch slices.
    Coat each slice with the batter mixture.
    Fry in skillet with small amount of oil.
    Brown on one side, then the other, turning only once.
    When they are tender, they are ready to serve.
