Boiled Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    6 eggs
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla or flavoring of choice
Preparation
    Scald milk. Beat eggs well.
    Mix sugar, salt and cornstarch to eggs.
    Stir constantly while adding the hot milk. Cook in double boiler, stirring until the mixture thickens and coats a spoon. Cool and add flavoring.
    Chill overnight. It is better real cold. Will keep well 2 or 3 days.
