Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1/2 c. chopped green peppers
    2 c. chopped celery
    1/4 to 1/2 c. sliced onions
    1 c. frozen peas, uncooked
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
    6 to 8 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
Preparation
    Layer lettuce, green peppers, celery, onions and peas.
    Spread with mayonnaise and sprinkle with sugar.
    Top with the Cheddar cheese and then crumble the bacon on top.
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
